Casual and Part-time Staff

SilverTemp is your first choice for casual staff in the Northern Rivers and now in the Tweed Valley. We can fill almost any administrative role from our extensive database of experienced, mature age women and men. Whether you only need someone for a few hours each week or a few days to cover illness or vacation of a permanent staff member, we can assist with maximum flexibility and generally on very short notice.

          Administrative & Clerical

Seniors registered with SilverTemp have a wide range of administrative and clerical skills gained from decades of employment or even managing their own businesses. Computer skills include word processing, data entry, handling Excel spreadsheets and  filing.


Experienced receptionists with good telephone answering competency and pleasant customer service manner are available for holiday or sick leave cover. We can also help with qualified medical receptionists.

            Secretarial – Legal and General

SilverTemp can provide high quality secretarial personnel, including legal secretaries,  for report writing and minute taking for Board Meetings. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Dictaphone is routine and some shorthand skills are also available.

           Accounting, Bookkeeping and Payroll

SilverTemp can provide short term solutions to your accounting needs. Several of our registered personnel have finance management qualifications. Others have specialised payroll experience and extensive bookkeeping skills with small  business software MYOB and Quickbooks. There are also CPA qualified personnel who can assist with tax preparation.

           IT Project Management

Whatever needs to be done with computers we have people for the job. Whether it is setting up your system, troubleshooting your server problems or working with you to develop a program SilverTemp has a specialist for the job and they are available right now.

          Retail Sales

Several SilverTemp registrants have experience in a retail selling environment, either from managing their own business or working in retail stores for many years. Customer service skills are top quality.

           Warehousing, storeroom and light duties

SilverTemp can also provide casual staff to fill in when you have a need for an extra pair of hands in the warehouse or for light duties, even deliveries…some of our staff have small van drivers licenses too.

Recruiting new staff

SilverTemp can help you find and select new staff. Simply give us a brief description of the skills, experience and educational background required. We will search for suitable candidates and conduct interviews and reference checks so you only have to review a short list. We’ll provide the professional HR skills to select the right people for you, saving you valuable time and money every step of the way.

We can also provide a labour hire option so you can “try before you buy”. If you’re not certain how much permanent work you can sustain for a new employee, you can choose to hire from our extensive pool of experienced administrative personnel on a casual basis. This way you can discover if the candidate is right for the job and a good fit into your organisation before you commit to putting someone on your payroll with all its attendant costs.
